Although your general dentist is trained to remove non restorable teeth, an oral surgeon is an expert in this procedure. Oral surgeons are more experienced in performing extractions, and therefore usually do so quicker and with less trauma to the patient resulting in less post operative discomfort. Additionally, because of their additional training, the anxious patient can be put to sleep for the procedure making it a more pleasant and anxiety free experience.

All patient having extractions, done at our office are given the choice of anesthesia they would like, pre and post operative instructions, necessary prescriptions and follow up care as needed.
